“Ranked #1 of 179, this 2011 Shiraz is rich red in colour with purple tints.The bouquet starts off very oaky,& with a lot of swirling becomes richly mocha-like & peppery with hints of dark chocolate. Lindt dark chocolate with raspberries to be precise. The wine is dense & fleshy in the mouth,w/ plenty of extract. It seems a shade lighter in the body than usual, but still powerful. It’s nicely balanced & smoothly-textured. The richness, density & harmony are very good indeed.”
